Rodgers-Smith Park

738 Grayson Rd, Pleasant Hill, CA 94523

I love this park because I appreciate the beauty of nature that it brings. Being in the city all the time can get tiresome, but there isn’t always time to make a big trip, even if it is just the day, somewhere more remote. This is why I love this park. This park is in the middle of the city, but it brings a spot of green to otherwise tall buildings, traffic, and the rush of daily life. I love going past this park, and sometimes even stopping to take a minute to take for myself. I am getting married soon (yay!) and my fiance and I have really been thinking about getting married here. We love the calm and safety that this place has provided us, so we think it would be an amazing place to say our vows!

For years I've been coming here with the children. While it was mostly for football and baseball games, I have come to really enjoy this park, and all that it does have to offer families in the area. The park has a beautiful playground, here I’ve seen many kids playing over the years. The only complaint that I have at the moment is that the bathrooms may need an update. Other than that, there is a bocce ball tournament that I am competing in with my friends, and I swear it's fun.  Overall, city here has an excellent local park. I have been coming here for years, and I will continue to do so for as long as I can. This place is an amazing park, and I would recommend bringing your family here!

This is a quiet, lovely, and well kept park. I have never run into issues here. It is true that there is the occasion homeless person, but they have never bothered anyone here before. For me at least, I love the people that I get to meet every time I come here. A lot of people seem to be of the same mindset (get out, enjoy nature while we’ve got it, right?), and I enjoy catching up with them over the little parts of the day. This park constantly has things going on, like baseball games, soccer matches, etc. It is a really nice neighborhood park, and I would recommend visiting it if you’re in the area.
