A specially designed lamp activates the Zoom! hydrogen peroxide-based gel to gently break down stains on your teeth. The gel is first applied to the enamel of your teeth and then exposed to the whitening lamp. The whitening procedure is followed by a brief fluoride treatment.

The Day White system can effectively whiten your teeth when it’s most convenient for you, whether you’re sitting at home watching TV or driving to work. In only 30 minutes twice a day, you can have the bright, white smile you’ve always wanted. Often, patients reach their desired results after continuing the system for 10-14 days. The Day White Gel is filled in your custom-fitted tray that fits over your teeth. The active ingredient in the gel is hydrogen peroxide, which is proven to safely whiten teeth under the supervision of a trained dentist.

The Dental Whitening Process:

  1. During your first visit we will take imperssions of your teeth. This allows us to make custom fitted whitening trays that will hold the whitening gel close to your teeth.
  2. At your second visit you will be fitted with your whitening tray and provided with the Take Home whitening kit. You will also be given specific instructions on how to administer the gel and how often to wear your tray.

Internal Bleaching for Root Canals

Sometimes teeth treated with Root Canal Therapy can become dark and discoloured within months or years after the root canal. To get rid of the discolouration, the tooth is whitened from the inside.

In certain cases where the tooth is heavily discolored, the internal whitening needs to be repeated. If the tooth does not respond to internal whitening, a porcelain crown may be the choice of treatment.
